Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TIP Virtual Assistant (the “Service”), operated by The Investor Playbook, LLC (“TIP VA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts & Roles

  • Administrators manage users, approve Virtual Local Assistant (VA) applications, and send invitations.
  • Virtual Local Assistants register with a valid EIN and W-9, subject to Administrator approval, and accept and complete job requests.
  • Investors post job requests, schedule VAs, and manage properties, rentals, expenses, and reports.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions & Fees

  • A base subscription of $10.00/month is required to access Rentals and Tools features.
  • A metered add-on of $2.00/month per rental property applies when you add properties under Rentals. This fee is canceled automatically when you delete the property; you may cancel anytime.
  • Service Requests, Pending Jobs, Completed Jobs, and Payments are available at no charge.
  • Administrators may grant 7-day or 30-day trial periods at their discretion.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Job Requests & Payments Between Users

Job requests posted by investors offer fixed pricing tiers (for example, $50 or $65 per block). When a VA accepts and completes a job, payment is arranged between the investor and the VA. TIP VA facilitates scheduling, notifications, and record-keeping but is not a party to any payment agreement between users and does not guarantee payment. You are solely responsible for fulfilling your payment obligations to other users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law.
  • Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information, including fraudulent EIN or W-9 data.
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its security features.
  • Attempt to access data or systems you are not authorized to access.

6. Virtual Local Assistant Verification

VAs must provide a valid EIN and completed W-9 and receive Administrator approval before accepting jobs. TIP VA may suspend or deactivate any VA account that provides false information or fails to meet quality standards.

7. Location Data

VAs clock in at job locations, and the Service records GPS coordinates to verify attendance. Investors may view clock-in stamps for their posted jobs. You consent to this collection when you use the clock-in feature.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Google Calendar (optional calendar sync), and email providers. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. TIP VA is not responsible for their practices.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, branding, and materials provided through the Service are the property of The Investor Playbook, LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. Content you upload (photos, receipts, reports) remains yours; you grant us a limited license to host and display it within the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any job will be completed or paid. Estimates and quotes generated by the Design & Quoting and Project Estimator tools are informational only and not a binding construction estimate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Investor Playbook, LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Investor Playbook, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Subscription fees paid are non-refundable upon termination except where required by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ohio.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
